EducationHistory Major (Bucks County Community College). I am currently just a couple of classes away from obtaining my Associate's degree, and when that time comes I will transfer to my bachelor's program. My favorite era in history would definitely have to be the 20th Century. It is filled to the brim with progress on civil rights, film, and music. My goal with this degree is to teach, tutor, and preserve history.
ExperienceHello everyone, my name is Anthony and I am currently a History Major at Bucks County Community College. I am soon to be completing my Associate's and then I will move forward with completing my bachelor's degree in History. In addition to my academic accomplishments, I am also a writer and a poet. Since my childhood, I have always had a deep passion for the language arts. Throughout my elementary, middle, and high school years I was involved in the Pennsylvania Reading Olympics. The goal of being a Reading Olympics team member was too accomplish reading as many books possible out of a list of 45, and then compete in competitions where we were tested on our knowledge of what we read. In high school, I routinely wrote poetry for the school newspaper, and also had one of my short stories published in the school literature magazine. In college, I have continued pursuing my hobby of writing, alongside my academic goals. In 2016, I was selected to be the keynote spoken word artist at a Poetry Event featuring Ricardo Blanco at Bucks County Community College. I am enthusiastic about helping others become stronger in the language arts and that's why I would be glad to be your tutor.
I am a writer with a published poetry collection. In college, I have received excellent marks on my essays. Being a history major, writing and reading are at the core of this major--and with every essay I have only gotten even stronger in my skills. Thanks to my exceptional talent in the poetry arena, I was selected by my college to be the keynote spoken word artist for a Poetry Event on campus. In high school, my poems and short stories were published in the school paper and lit mag, and received high regards.
I am very enthusiastic about helping students become stronger in the language arts. I believe that having the right tutor makes all the world of a difference when it comes to strengthening a student's motivation to succeed. That is why I would love to be that inspiration for you as your tutor.
-reading, as well as writing stories
-listening to and collecting music
I've been writing poetry since I was child, and since then I have been featured in publications such as "Creative Communications". I also have a collection of short poems available on createspace, and the title of this book is "windows in blue". I believe that writing poetry is a wonderful outlet for the human spirit.
